Synthetic Biology: Chemical/Biological Engineering Faculty Position, Colorado State University
The Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at Colorado State University seeks applications and nominations for a tenure-track chemical/biological engineering faculty position at the assistant professor level. Successful candidates will develop well-funded research programs and actively participate in education and scholarship activities. This position is specifically targeted to candidates who would focus their research in the area of bioenergy. Applicants with interests and expertise in synthetic biology, including protein and metabolic engineering, are particularly encouraged. Applications from candidates with the ability to advance the Department's commitment to diversity and multiculturalism through research, teaching and outreach with relevant programs, goals and activities are particularly encouraged. A Ph.D. or equivalent in chemical or biological engineering, or related field, is required by January 2011.
